Supernova
01:46
|
|||
You sit alone, curtains drawn, no telephone. A case of self-exile, maybe you'll be here awhile. You can't remember who said what or when - all you know is that this is the end of the road.
That supernova that you'd gone and mingled with has finally fizzled out, and now there's nothing left but a black hole of regrets, forget-me-nots and things you'd never said.

Ghost
02:36
|

Please tell me: what is the matter, dear? Could it be you've never seen a ghost? I must admit, I don't know what I expected after showing up here after all this time.
So maybe I'm just a little worse for wear, but who cares?
Please tell me: where have you been, my love? Did you lose yourself along the way? I must admit that I'd begun to fear the worst, yet here you are now, somehow in my arms.
For now though, just say that you're still mine, and I'll be alright.
For now though, let's take things a step at a time and give it our best try.

Weight
03:42
|
|||
You're gonna carry that weight with you everywhere, and it'll only get worse with time. And, in the silence, it's slowly growing out until it's ruling your whole life.
You think you won't hurt anyone, so long as "anyone" isn't "you". You can't rely too much on everyone, because they've all got their own weights, too.
You'll slip in and out of fits of solitude, make believing that'll make things right, but, by now, you should know better than anyone that that won't fix a single thing tonight.
You waste so much time burning bridges, yet never think about the roads ahead. There are things that you just can't leave alone, even if it means that you'll wind up dead.
Please come back and spend another night, take some time to try and clear your head. The ones you love will carry that weight with you, just focus on how you will make amends.

Moonbeams
02:20
|
|||
I hold my breath while I watch you sleep. Moonbeams dance along the floor. I brush a stray strand of hair out of your eyes, and I know that things will turn out fine.
I love you more than you could know, and I just wanted you to know that I'll always be by your side forevermore.
I'm at a loss for words while you toss and turn - nobody's ever been as good. I pull you close to keep the most basic of truths in your head:
That I love you more than you could know, so even when we're grey and old, I'll plan to be by your side.
I hope you'd know because I told you so: I fumble when you're not around. I told you so, so I'd hope you'd know: I hope that you'll stick around.
